The Bamboo Chair Mat is manufactured in the remote Anji Mountains of China and made from the finest 100% Anji Mountain bamboo. Due to a lengthy annual freeze, this unique growing climate produces the strongest and most durable bamboo in the world which is best-suited for flooring.
The Anji Mountain Bamboo Rug Company office chair mat is ecologically friendly. Bamboo has a robust root system that generates multiple new shoots for every mature stock that is harvested. Bamboo grows 8-12 feet per year, unlike hardwood that can take decades to grow to a mature height ready for harvest. Closely regulated harvesting of sustainable bamboo forests is much more ecologically responsible than reckless clear-cutting of old growth hardwood forests.
Each computer chair mat is an engineered flooring product made of installed, flooring grade bamboo. The chair mat is kiln-dried and carbonized to prevent warping and cracking and finished with seven coats of premium, scuff-resistant polyurethane coating. Premium felt backing protects floor and helps keep the mat in place. This office chair mat folds for easy portability and storage. Measuring 45" wide and 48.5" in length with a 8.5" tongue, for a total depth of 57" from the tip of the mat to the end of the tongue. A perfect fit with any desk.
