QuadJoy is a mouth operated joystick for operating a computer. The QuadJoy can be used by anyone; for the most part, it benefits people who experience temporary or permanent hand impairment. The QuadJoy will work on computer running Windows 95, 98, SE, ME, 2000, and XP; and will also work on Macintosh computers that are OS, 8, 9, and X. The joystick can be controlled with your mouth or chin. The farther you move the joystick, the faster the cursor moves. Mouse button activation can be made with the built in sip and puff switch, a switch with the external switch jack or manually with the actual mouse buttons for able body assistants. Switch users can use Quadjoy with External Switch Jack for mouse button activation. QuadJoy can be mounted to most flat surfaces and is assembled to mount on the right hand side of the user. |

A Quadjoy costs much more than normal mouse, but it multiplies the ease with which a disabled person can be productive.It has many features for those who cannot use buttons for desktop navigation and control, including Click, Lock, and Drag etc. However the variation of features depends on the operating system used. There is a saliver clear out mechanism and device can be mounted at all angles with reverse switching. Unfortunately a USB QuadJoy and a PS/2 mouse will not work at the same time, if both are plugged into the computer when it is booted.
People have recommended the Quadjoy as a gaming Joystick for people with disabilities. The Quadjoy fits into the alternative Mice and Trackballs Category.
