The New Generation FloodStop Electronic Water Leak Detection and Auto-Shutoff System helps eliminate costly flooding directly associated to your washing machine. When the New Generation FloodStop Electronic Water Leak Detection System sensor detects flooding or leaks, it automatically closes the automatic shut-off valves, which attach to your washing machine's water lines (hose bibs). After leak detection the valves stay closed until you push a button on the control unit to reopen them. The Controller has a battery port for 4 C size batteries which will serve as the primary power source if a nearby electrical outlet is not available. When plugged in the batteries can serve as a backup power source in the event an electrical power outage occurs. The Controller has outputs for connection to your alarm or home automation system. Through the use of such a system, you can choose to be notified when your FloodStop has been activated.
The fact that the leak detection equipment is a "point of use" product is what makes it such an exceptional value.
