Detailed Product Description:
Wanda Technology's Portofino is a heavy duty 10 foot by 10 foot square side post umbrella with a double top canopy. This umbrella has a patented rotating base with a foot pedal braking mechanism that locks the umbrella base into position. The umbrella rotates 360 degrees and has 12 preset locking positions for 360 degree coverage. The bearings are a stainless steel mechanism eliminating rust. The portable base allows for the umbrella to be moved to different locations and it has a plastic cap for better weather protection.
This umbrella comes with a patented EZ tilt mechanism that adjusts the umbrella canopy into many positions. The trigger control mechanism easily operates with the use of two fingers. With this patio umbrella and its pistol grip trigger tilt mechanism there is no need to crank, pin and re-open.
The canopy of the Portofino is a double-deck vent top canopy which allows for hot air and wind to escape from beneath. The canopy easily closes in seconds and stows away against the main frame. The offset umbrella is easy to open and does not intrude on any other patio furniture. The canopy has a market style valance on all sides which cuts down on direct sunlight.
Wanda's Portofino has marine grade hardware made of stainless steel - no rust! The hubs and joints are made of nylon and will not chip or break.
Sundura Fabric is a PU coated Polyester fabric which has a high strength-to-weight ratio, and is the most economical fabric used by Wanda Tech. Sundura is a 100% yarn dyed fabric, and the material is strong given its thickness and weight. Sundura is colorfast, resistant to chemicals, and can be easily washed. Polyester fibers absorb very little moisture. This fiber is quick drying, abrasion resistant; and a low cost, durable fabric. Polyester should retain its color for a year at the very least, depending on daily sun exposure and intensity. Sundura Fabric is 10 ounces per square yard fabric, which is one of the thickest fabrics in industry. The PU coating treatment on the surface provides the extra water repellent feature that most fabrics just "spray" on surface only. The PU coating is able to withstand stronger water pressure than the popular Scotchguard treatment that is used in the sofa and cushion industry. One year warranty.
